What are God's priorities for out lives?
Is it just to get things done and just make it through the week ?
This week we will focus on stress and anxiety and what God’s priorities are for our lives. This study will also, touch on ways to simplify our lives and deal with stress.
We are all guilty of having a lot on our plate that causes stress and anxiety. We have demanding jobs and personal schedules. Our time is filled with the busyness of life.
What do we read in magazines, see on television and observe in day to day life. What does our culture value?

Are we concerned about teaching out children about God. Do we take them to church or spend time developing to develop our godlly character as well as theirs? Or are we more concerned about their school grades, sports or music. Are we good stewards of our time.
In Matthew 19: 16-30, a young man asked Jesus how to be saved. Jesus told him to keep the 10 commandments.
In Exodus 20: 1-17, we will find the original Ten Commandments. The first Four of the ten deal with loving God and the last six deal with loving others.
As per the text, Jesus understands human nature well with his advice to the young man in the scripture noted above.
Sacrifice is especially important in following Jesus, and He made a point to us that we are willing to follow the world and not Him.
The lesson here is that we should be careful that the world does not take hold of us. In recent times Christianity has become a practice of just adding God and not making Him a part of our life.
We must do more to assess the style of Christianity we want to practice, by thinking about our own lives and determining if any changes are required.
We do not have to reach a state of perfection but we need to be on the narrow path that leads to him according to Mathew 7:13-14
13 Enter ye at the strait gate:for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that
lead to destruction and many there be
which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
